Our Story
It occurred to me recently that I’ve known many of you for many years, but many of you have met us more recently. I hope you will indulge me and let me tell you “Our Story”
I obtained my real estate license in 1978, and my Broker’s license in 1980. I began working full time in real estate in 1979. Prior to that I spent 12 years as an engineer, specializing in the plastics industry. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). In 1983, I met Susan. She had also earned a Bachelor’s Degree, and was working in the Insurance industry. She had had a real estate license since the mid 1970’s. She has since obtained her broker’s license, and has an MLO license in the loan industry.
We joined forces in business and our personal lives. We have been married since 1984. We have a “yours and my family”. Our sons, Andy and Christian are closer than most “real” brothers, both have very successful careers and wonderful families of their own.
Over the years, we have been a part of several real estate companies, but finally found our home at Regency Real Estate Brokers, with offices in Dana Point and Mission Viejo. We are Broker-Owners at Regency. In 2020, I served as Chairman of the Board at Regency. Regency closed approximately 1,000 sales in 2020. I am also on the Board of directors of Orange Coast Title Co. Susan and I are also part owners of Legacy Home Loans in Mission Viejo. Legacy closed over 700 loans in 2020,
Over the years, I have been very active in the California Association of Realtors. I served as a Director for several years, was Vice-Chairman of their Professional Standards Committee, and Chairman of their Standard Forms Committee. Partly as a result of this experience and our many years of real estate activity, I have developed a second business as an Expert Witness to the Legal Community. I have provided support in over 150 cases.
We are very proud of our story, and also very proud of the many of you who have you who have relied on us over the years for all your real estate needs.
