Is This “Ever” A Good Time To Sell!
I’m not sure if my grammar on the heading for this article is correct, but my intent definitely is. The combination of circumstances, Corona Virus, interest rates lowest in history, uncertainty for the future, have all combined to make our real estate market into what is becoming an excellent sellers’ market.
Let me give you two examples. We had two of our listed properties sell last week. Both sold in multiple offers. There were 4 offers on both properties! One of these sales in particular illustrates what we are seeing in our local market. This home had sold several weeks ago. Unfortunately, due to current issues, the buyer couldn’t qualify for a loan and we had to put the home back on the market. Well, the market last week was dramatically different than it was when the home first sold. We received 4 offers on the home within 48 hours of returning it to the market. All of the offers were above the sales price of the previous transaction.
In researching the market and talking with other agents, we are finding that this experience is happening throughout the marketplace. There are definitely more buyers than properties at this time.
