10 Reasons to buy a home in California (Part 2)

Last time, we discussed the first 5 reasons to buy a home in California now. Now let’s look at the rest of the reasons:

6. No more multiple offers, for now. Buyers can actually find a home that works for them and have a reasonable chance of negotiating an acceptable offer without the pressure of competitive offers.

7. Builders’ inventories are growing. Once again, increased availability means buyers have more opportunity to buy the home of their dreams at an affordable price.

8. Sellers are reducing their asking prices to be more realistic about their values.

9. Homes are more affordable. For the first time in several years, price increases are lower than the rate of inflation, which means homes are becoming more affordable.

10. Last but not least, a new California Law which was intended to hold rents down is thus far having the opposite effect. Thus far in 2019, rents have increased 5.5%, the highest rate in 14 years, and the new rent law has not even kicked in yet. This may wind up being the most important reason of all to turn renters into buyers.

It has always made sense for just about anyone who can be an owner to buy. It seems that right now, we have even more reason to be buyers!
